Hugh brings many years of manufacturing experience to EWS. Hugh moved to Taiwan in 1984, where he lived with his family until 2002. In 1988 he founded an electrical appliance factory in Zhanjiang City, China. This factory started with 9 workers making slow cookers. It grew to 2,300 workers by 2008, producing around 12,000 electrical products a day and shipping to 28 countries around the world.

Hugh moved to Australia with his family in 2002 but continued with the China factory until 2008. Following a major investment in EWS, Hugh offered his services to mastermind the manufacturing and strategic planning for EWS and was subsequently appointed as CEO of the company.
